Demolocke's Caveat

Caveat: Please make note that this article/post is my personal analysis of the subject and the information used was chosen or picked by me. It is not an analysis piece because it lacks complete and comprehensive research, it was not adequately and completely investigated and it is not balanced, i.e., it is my personal view without the views of others including subject experts, etc. Look at this as “Infotainment rather then expert research.” This is an opinion/editorial article/post meant to persuade the reader to think, decide and accept or reject my premise. It is an attempt to cause change or reinforce attitudes, beliefs and values as they apply in life. It is merely a commentary on the subject in the particular article presented.

This article is mine and mine alone. I the author of this article assure you, the reader, that any of the opinions expressed here are my own and are a result of the way in which my meandering mind interprets a particular situation and/or concept. The views expressed here are solely those of the author in his private capacity and do not in any way represent the views of other professionals or authors of source materials. It should be quite obvious that the sources I used herein have not approved, endorsed, embraced, friended, liked, tweeted or authorized this article. (Everything I think and write is true, within the limits of my knowledge and understanding. Oh, and just because I wrote it and just because it sounds reasonable and just because it makes sense, does not mean it is true.)

Finally, it is incumbent that the reader take any information they feel is relevant and useful and perform an in-depth analysis of it to work out its value to the reader. It is also stressed that the reader also present the information to qualified professionals/experts so that his or her expertise and experience can also analyze the information to validate and then synthesize said information into their ideas, theories or facts/information either as is or as synthesized into something new and creative.

Oh, it is pronounced "Dem-Locke."

Another Misguided Message

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

In recent news reality articles another sport remember decides to protest the election of our President-elect Donald Trump BUT in his rightful protest he chose the wrong way to convey the message by “Not standing at the National Anthem and Flag. He tries to explain it away by saing, and this is just one of his quotes in the article I read, the following:

He added, "It's not about the Republican Party or the Democratic Party or anything like that. It's just who he is. It's well-documented what he's done. I'm not going to stand for something I don't believe in. That's the end of that."

The National Anthem and the Raising of our flag has NOTHING to do with President-elect Trump, it has nothing to do with POLITICS or the POLITICAL ARENA for its symbolism transcends those things and it totally without a political agenda of any kind. It has nothing to do with PROTESTS OR PROTESTING of anything.

Our National Anthem and the Raising of our Flag are symbolic of an ideal America no matter its current state or how people conceive or perceive the state of America now. Add in that his protest was enacted at a function that specifically was about “Honoring or Veterans” further separates his protest intent from his actual beliefs, lets call his protest a model of “Cognitive Dissonance.” How do I know, because he had to try to explain it once his actions became public, because no one really understood and that is the public’s “Cognitive Dissonance” because of its confusion as to how his disregard and disrespect toward our nations anthem and flag didn’t trip the right movie scripts and tapes in our minds. We had to flounder around till he “Splained things.”

There are so many other ways to protest things that would better serve and convey, without cognitive dissonance, our meaning and thus result in a positive change but this “Ain’t IT.”

As a veteran of the Marines I take homage against his protest, he is wrong and failed to inspire me toward any changes and only to take offense to his misuse of his right to protest. I am not a sport fan but when I experience such failure on their part to express themselves so inadequately and incorrectly that I am slowly losing any respect for sports and sport figures (who, by the way get paid way to much).

p.s. You had your chance and you didn’t vote - Hey dude, shut the fuck up and stand up when the flag is raised and the anthem played.
