Dangerous Weapons

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

Little did we realize or even allow to be considered that we, us as family and the tech-industry, we literally put dangerous weapons in the hands of our youth who have yet lived long enough to mature emotionally, socially and to achieve enough understanding to know how to handle such responsibility.

It is tantamount to handing over a loaded weapon to a two year old except now that two year old can pick up this weapon and wield it indiscriminately and predatorily against anyone, anywhere and anytime.

Technology has opened Pandora's box and that box is a computer, cell phone and the IoT or internet of things.

If they wish, they can take your identity or your livelihood with just a smidgeon of code and the press of a button, link or command at the prompt.

No where in our history has the so young been provided such opportunity to do so much good and so much bad while sitting and clicking a screen. No where has the immature been provided such power for good and bad and all without any guidance or afore thought to the repercussions for the actions they take.

What scares me most is how easy it is to react emotionally, and all young adults are overwhelmed with emotions and the hormones of youth, to any slight, diss or even innocent comment misunderstood and the next thing you know your spending exorbitant amounts of money to fix the damage they did with just the composing of code, the upload and the trigger mechanism that starts the code. Hey, they don’t even have to have coding capability, social media and our inherent emotional vulnerabilities as young adults provides a venue to safely attack and damage the emotional psyche of their targets. How many have suffered grave harm because of such immature reactions?

This begs the question, what can and should we do as a society because restricting or denying access just doesn’t work. I remember how I was told how I could not do certain things but bet you this that at the first opportunity when parents are not there I did exactly what they didn’t want me to do, you betcha! So, how do we do what ever in needed to set such moral standards and controls that those whose talents are so high to use them for the good of their family, group and society?

We also are finding that the techno world is allowing us as individuals to remain separate and alone while allowing us contact in such a way that we can connect with the entire world while feeling safe, secure and powerful where ever we may reside be it in our room, alone, or at the coffee shop on wifi or just about anywhere and anyplace we want with no thought of others and having to deal with others in close proximity.

We are a social animal and to survive we require social connectivity where the group through similar beliefs and goals band together to serve, protect and propagate our group. So, the techno world is slowing eroding the perception and belief that we need that group cohesiveness, bonding and cooperation to survive yet it that really true or is it just another false feeling promoted by the very tech itself.

I quote, “There are some studies that suggest that the peak of human violence is at age two. We are most violent of all at that age. Families survive the terrible two’s because toddlers are not strong enough to kill with their bare hands and are not capable of using lethal weapons.” Until now, the most lethal weapon of modern times comes in the form of technology, the capability to learn how to use it and the capability to wield that weapon even in the hands of toddlers.

We are so enamored with technology today that as parents we provide those same toddlers with toys like toy cell phones and toy iPads but it isn’t all that long after that the real thing is provided and they are added to the parents accounts. What are we to do, what can we do to secure and protect ourselves from our own children? Is this really the threat because most of the articles I have read in recent years are about those iPredators who use such tech to do harm and they are mostly in there early to late teens up to mid twenties.

iPredators are real, they are mostly young and they have no real social and emotional filters to say, “This is right but this is wrong and I will make the correct moral and socially correct decisions!”

You gotta wonder don’t you, your child, teen and young adult is often sitting right there on their tech-device but do you really know that they are doing? Do you really understand that he or she could be the very news story your are hearing about that hacked and stole millions of dollars of data?

Scary isn’t it?

Fake News - Tabloids

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

It use to be you could tell when you were viewing a tabloid paper, it was apparent especially when the headlines stated something like, “Woman gives birth the Alien Child.” Now-days, how can you tell because the line between tabloid and news is so blurred one cannot tell anymore whether they are reading the news or reading “Reality Tabloid Stories.”

Take a look, with the news falling into oblivion of fake news how can you tell. Even if you go to the trouble of trying to fact-check a story it turns out that even the stories and facts that would at one time have proven the validity of said story is pretty much fake news or rather fake-references leaving us wondering where-oh-where can I find, “Real Factual News?”

Then again, there are a lot of folks out there who read the tabloids and believe in them and then act accordingly, i.e., with emotional immature feelings not even close to reality. Or, is this article just another Sun Tabloid like article, can you tell?

Easy to tell the fake news, right?

Not so easy to tell if its news or if its simply tabloid fake, right?

OPINION PIECE (Mine): The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

Let us talk about credibility, when one says something that later is shown as false, an untruth or just a plain lie then there comes a time when recipients of that messenger simply lose faith and begin to ignore the messenger,

The news has reached that saturation point in their collective race for the higher status of the ratings, accolades and profits they have fallen into that trap of the boy who cried wolf for crying wolf when there are no wolves 🐺.

The news is stricken with the profit bug, they put out news with such speed they are glossing over the verification and fact check processes causing false stories so that we, the readers, no longer accept and believe - news is crying out worth fiction over facts.

I am at the point where even the once solid news media sources are no longer accepted as accurate and true and factual unless I do my own personal fact checks.

The real danger, especially since the shift from newspapers and the like are no longer reliable, is the Internet and Social Media as sources cannot be relied upon either so where do you go?

News is supposed to be logical reality-based factual logical unemotional news but instead is egoistic commercialized emotional monkey dancing 💃 influence driven manipulative non-news!

News is now just another "Reality Show" that years a definition of reality that I have yet to find in any ancient printed dictionary (because you can't hack an older printed book).

I remember an old, circa mid to late seventies, 60 minutes segment interviewing a respected and admired newsman, Chet Huntley of the Huntley and Brinkley Report who said he felt that the news room, considered by the very nature of its duties to the news, was never meant to be profitable and that it was being subverted into something other than news. (Fact check this, it is what I remember; can’t find any video)

Today's news seem filled with actors with pretty faces acting to trigger our entertainment triggers in beating out the other guy for ratings, meaning profits.

So, who and what do you turn too for "Real/realistic, Factual and Valid news?"

Technology (Skynet Lives)

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

“We use such things without thought to their origin, ignoring the fact that high-tech devices, all machines, all electronics, all circuits, are temptations. They insinuate themselves into daily life so that people blithely accept their pervasive presence.” - unknown

Billions Sold, Sound Familiar

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

Long ago in a world far, far in the past a fast food place put this on their signs and now you too can put this on your computers and media devices so that you can remind yourself that selling billions of devices that don’t directly effect you, indirectly you betcha, is not a good thing, it is dangerous, crafty and like identity theft a real bear to beat and get corrected. The onus is on YOU!

“Gartner Inc. forecasts that 6.4 billion connected things will be in use worldwide in 2016, up 30 percent from 2015, and will reach 20.8 billion by 2020. In 2016, 5.5 million new things will get connected each day, Gartner estimates. If only a fraction of these new IoT devices are shipped with sloppy security defaults — such as hard-coded accounts and passwords — the IoT problem is going to get a lot worse in the coming years.” - Krebs on Security

Just reading about the numbers is causing my blood pressure to rise and my vertigo to spin while my body does the hoochie-coochie with the chemicals my brain is releasing under the old flight-fight survival triggers. This shit is really scary. Don’t even get me started on the Banks iPhone/Smartphone ATM automation, Arghhhhhhhhhh! READ ABOUT ATM AUTOMATED TELLER FRAUD HERE!

DEMoLOCK SAYS: Making It Profitable

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

This article can best be described this way, a couple of months ago I got to drive the make of automobile for the day and have not driven one since but was so impressed that for the last months my eye is drawn  to this make of car consistently throughout the day when driving my old vehicle. Humans tend to do this when something special and unique, regardless of its positive or negative traits and impressions, they become focused on it to an extreme.

Well, there is a certain activity that has been seen in a similar way and has become a focus of attention in the media to an extreme to a point it is becoming an emotionally driven concern built up and way beyond reasonable and this has led to its becoming profitable.

It is a b it like how young adults discovered that our child system will do certain things to others if those young adults call up and file a phone complaint. They discovered this and when their emotions are flaming away they call and get even with others when the authorities come and haul them off to jail.

Now, whenever this profitable new thing occurs or appears in certain ways or even if not but en encounter happens persons on the receiving end know that if they scream loud enough, file enough complaints and can misuses certain media generated videos’ they can get the ones on that side of the isle prosecuted and provide lots of materials for bringing law suits - yeah, it's the money as in, “Show me the Money!”

As an aside, this profitable thing also attends to the political agenda’s of many organizations both old and new. Add the two together and you have a potent and powerful explosive that is driven by emotionally driven compliance influences that reach deeper than any political machine.

Note: Curious as to what the profitable thing is, email me directly and I will let you know - maybe, hehehehee

News or Not

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

In a recent “news article” about a news person throughout the article I detected words that told me that news may not be about news but about ratings, sales and money-money-money. I say this because in my youth, watching the Huntley-Brinkley news, I learned and understood that in the television world news was not and never would be profitable simply because it would mean losing site of the “NEWS!”

Now I hear words like, “Star” that relates to movies, television and things entertainment. Highest rated relates to ratings and we all kind of know that to get ratings means more money and more emotional driven aspects of news over factual news - after all, aren’t we all now concerned about fake news sources when we should be concerned about bad news as well?

Second most watched relates to ratings. Contracts are becoming just like sports, inflated to a degree that to attain and hold such high money means giving the public what they think they need in place of unbiased factual and truthful NEWS.

Here are some more extracted meme’s, quotes and words that don’t give me good vibes in regard to truth in news:
  • its two biggest stars
  • the highest-rated cable news programs
  • second-most watched
  • television news contract
  • more than $20 million a year
  • new annual salary
  • even a modest raise would place him/her among television’s highest paid journalists
  • career as a lawyer before changing course to become
  • study political science instead of journalism
  • corporate litigator
  • cut a TV news demo tape and began cold-calling station managers
  • from fledgling news freelance reporter to the national correspondent in the same year.
p.s. when the lines separating entertainment from real news get so blurred you can no longer tell the difference then News becomes just another reality-show money monster.

New Years Resolutions

Demolocke’s Agenda Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

Really, they almost always fail and never have I read a solid valid reason as to why and yet I feel I may have come upon, “The Why.” New years resolutions are always goals, goals are not enough and seldom achieve success for one reason, goals often don’t have a system driving the person or individual toward it.

When you make that new years resolution you have to create a system to achieve it, a system that is not about the goal but a means to achieve all your goals.

Goals are a one time thing while systems are forever. If I want to lose weight as a new year resolution I have to create a system to achieve the goal or at least have a system I use already and then aim that system at that goal. Remember, if you think you have a system to achieve the goal ask yourself, “Will this system cease its usefulness and stop functioning once I achieve the goal?” If you answer yes to either then it is NOT a system.

Systems are forever and they only incur changes as time passes because to be a system they work for almost everything and require only changes to adjust to the situation and the times involved.

To get my idea on goals vs. systems read my blog article, “Goals vs. Systems” here, click the link.

In a nutshell, to achieve your goals for the new year make sure you assign it to a solid, valid and proven system to get to that goal because goals all by themselves fail, consistently. This is why I feel we always fail in our new years resolutions, we fail to use a good system to achieve our goals.
